I admit, I picked this up on a whim when I saw it. The synopsis sounded both intriguing and amusing. I didn't start reading it right away due to real life (work, sleep, etc), but when I did, I had the toughest time putting it down! If you enjoy sci-fi or have friends that do and make references to the various shows, movies and books that have been around, you will enjoy this. For those that enjoy the science in sci-fi, you will find various explanations in easy to read language that sprinkled throughout. I found this to be a highly amusing, easy and fun read that I really wish wasn't over and hope that the author gets to work on the next book in this wonderful universe he created.Product details

The Teleport This Trilogy Small Universe Books 13 eBook Christopher M Daniels Reviews
Needs a good edit.
A fun read if you like humor in your science fiction. I enjoyed the character dialogue.
I like the humor and humanist portrayed in these three books. As usual, the author leaves you wanting more. Enjoy!
Good engaging read. Well worth the modest investment. As the author implies, in the footnote, it was fun to have my imagination tickled by bringing more life to the characters myself while processing the storyline, than being overwhelmed by a preconceived notion of what or who the characters were.
I can't say how much I loved this book. Lighthearted and funny romp through outer space. I so wish that this were an entire genre; I couldn't find anything else this good. Hitchhiker's Guide is the only thing I know of that was similarly genuinely funny. I actually prefer the characters in this book to that classic.
Forgive me, Douglas Adams fans. Humor is subjective and I like this better. And there are some real laugh-out-loud moments in this collection. I am looking forward to the next book, whenever it comes out.
In the first book, our heroes "invent" teleportation only to discover that most other worlds already have it. Soon, they become a merry band of sci-fi lovers living their dreams, roaming the galaxy and having hilarious adventures.
So, if you are looking to be amused and entertained and you enjoy sci-fi, you are sure to love this collection.
Sometimes you just need fun, witty science fiction. This is that book.
I love serious SF but I also love characters who are clever and witty in a fun adventure. SG1 vs BSG.
Often when I'm looking for fun books I find ones that try too hard to be funny--and it shows. Some writers create characters that are too over the top to enjoy, or situations that are crazy for the purpose of being "wacky“ which doest work for me.
In this book the crazy situations seem possible, the human motivations seem realistic.
People make both stupid decisions and smart ones. As someone who gets tired of characters on TV shows or in books carrying “The Idiot Ball " to move the plot forward, it was great to see the opposite happen.
This smartness of character actions are especially nice to see in the female characters. But they aren't all knowing asexual people either. They have libidos and issues too.
And, as a SF fan in all its forms, the cultural references in the are fantastic fun.
Several of my favorite lines in the book are based on the tweaking or mentioning of famous SF and Film Noire thrillers.
One of the nice things about this is the author recognizing that in any future encounter with aliens, we will all be relating it to our current frame of reference--SG movies and TV. To pretend otherwise is to ignore the impact SF TV, movies and books have had on our current understanding of the universe.
Is the universe more like Star Wars or Star Trek? Aliens or Dr Who? We won't know until later this century what aliens are really like. When we do, I hope they have a sense of humor!
Buy and read this book. It's like a mash up of your favourite SF, adventure and thrillers all spliced together.
I want more from this author!
